Int. I Rhythm #2

One beat can be divided into 4 sixteenth notes.  They look like the following and can be counted as "1 ee and ah".

The dotted eighth note with a sixteenth is used in this exercise.  It looks like the following picture and can also be counted as "1  ee  and ah"  over one beat.  The dotted eighth note takes up 3 sixteenths and the last sixteenth falls on the "ah".

Now clap, tap or speak the rhythm keeping a steady beat. Then play the recording to check your work.

3 beats will be played to set up the tempo followed by the rhythm played by the piano.

*HINT - It is very important to feel the steady beat. Try tapping your foot along with the first bar of steady beat and continue to do so as you perform the rhythm.
