Sight Singing
To begin, look over the exercise. Then play the recording. There will be a broken chord playing the La, Do Mi , and top La pitches followed by the starting note.
Sing along with the recording using the solfege words provided.
Each solfege syllable represents a pitch. This will be sung an octave lower than what is written.
*NOTE - This exercise is in the key of E minor. We know this because there is one sharp in the key signature like its relative major, G major. However you will see that it begins and ends on E (La) which can signify the minor key. The good news is that the solfege words do not change from its relative major. Sing the solfege syllables as you always do.
