Perfect 8th
The perfect 8th spans 8 notes on the musical staff. It is known as an octave. The perfect 8th has 12 semitones and the top and bottom notes have the same pitch names. It can be practiced using the following methods. For a perfect 8th we can hear it as the space between bottom Do and the top Do.
* Note - The unison, 4th, 5th and octave are considered perfect. They cannot be made major or minor.
